How to add Images with Picasso

How to add Images with Picasso - java

I'm trying to add images to my listview, which is made from content retrieved from json. For the purpose of adding the images I'm trying to use picasso, and I've watched a tutorial about it and it worked, the problem is that I don't think it can be used in my app, at least not with the method I saw.

json extra is null on other intent

I'm trying to put an extra when calling my intent for the second activity (after logging in) which contains the json data. The json data gets called correctly in the BackgroundTask class in the LoginActivity (I know that, because the Log I put in there with the json string is displayed), but when I do the startChildActivityIntent.putExtra it says that the json_string variable is null (which causes an error in TaskActivity).I hope someone can tell me what's going wrong? This is because you are calling the background task and without waiting for the result you are passing json_string as an extra. As a result json_string will be null because the background task has not completed execution.
To avoid this, try calling TaskActivity from onPostExecute

How to update item in RecycleView?

I am creating Application in which I have give functionality like Facebook timeline where people can update their story and any user can like or comment on the story. Everything is working fine but what I am facing issue is that when any user update story then data of updated story get saved on server but not added in recycle view at same time. When User go back and again comes on timeline screen then list will get update. How can I solve this problem ?

You need to implement some sort of polling mechanism on server end to do this. There's a workaround for it but it's not considered good practice. You can use a Timer to call your getTimeline function periodically to update the recycler view. Something like this in your onCreate:

Not sure if i understand your question correctly, but to execute the AsyncTask, you just have to create an instance of RegisterAsyncTask and call the execute() method on it.
RegisterAsyncTask task = new RegisterAsyncTask();
task.execute(yourMap);
// you can pass multiple params to the execute() method
Or, if you don't need to get ahold of the instance:
new RegisterAsyncTask().execute(yourMap);

You can simply put your hashmap object, alongwith AsyncTask in your login activity code, and simply call AsyncTask in following manner.

RecyclerView didn't updated using notifyDataSetChanged

I'm using RecyclerView to make a list cart. When the cart is cleared the RecyclerView still showing the last list cart. I want the RecyclerView to show nothing when the cart is cleared. I've tried using notifyDataSetChanged() but it didn't work. Please help me.
