dependancies can be a culprit as because of conflict. In my case, exclusion of dom4j solved the issue. Try updating jackson dependency in your pom.xml. It worked for me.
<dependency>
<groupId>com.fasterxml.jackson.jaxrs</groupId>
<artifactId>jackson-jaxrs-base</artifactId>
<version>2.6.3</version>
<exclusions>
<exclusion>
<groupId>dom4j</groupId>
<artifactId>dom4j</artifactId>
</exclusion>
</exclusions>
</dependency>

You have defined hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto as create. This sometimes gives this error because each time your application runs, your table is deleted.
Try changing this to validate.
validate: validate that the schema matches, make no changes to the
schema of the database.
<property name="hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto">validate</property>

your hibernate and spring config file add this property <prop key="hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto">update</prop> ; for example:
<bean id="sessionFactory"
class="org.springframework.orm.hibernate3.LocalSessionFactoryBean"
p:dataSource-ref="dataSource">
<property name="hibernateProperties">
<props>
<prop key="hibernate.dialect">org.hibernate.dialect.MySQLInnoDBDialect</prop>
<prop key="hibernate.show_sql">true</prop>
<prop key="hibernate.format_sql">true</prop>
<prop key="hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto">update</prop>
</props>
</property>
</bean>

Invalid version of spring-jpa

In my project I have three model files- User, Appointment and Notification. There are three repository interfaces each implements CRUDRepository. Service and Controller class are also present. While executing the project i am getting two errors:
1. No spring Webinitializer detected on classpath.
2. exception while creating bean.
here is stack trace:

Many answers on stackoverflow suggested that error is due to invalid version of spring-jpa and spring data. I tried to change the version of spring, but did not help. Which version of spring and spring-jpa should I use? Do I need to add some other dependency?

Spring version - 4.3.8.RELEASE and spring data jpa version - 1.0.2.RELEASE combination worked for me.
If it is version issue then may be you can try this combination.
You have version mismatch problem with BeanUtils.findPropertyForMethod
The below dependency is causing the version problem which is referring to findPropertyForMethod which takes one parameter.
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.data</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-data-jpa</artifactId>
<version>1.6.4.RELEASE</version>
</dependency>
Consider changing the version to 2.0.3.RELEASE which would resolve the issue.

Procfile:
web: sh target/bin/webapp
web: java -cp target/classes/:target/dependency/* com.shop.cond.MainController
The structure of catalogs:
STRUCTURE
First, you have two web: entries in your Procfile. Use only the java -cp one if that's what you need.
The main error is java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/springframework/ui/Model, which usually means you are missing a JAR file on your classpath.
Have you copied all of your dependencies into target/dependency?
Typically this is done with the following in your pom.xml:
<build>
<plugins>
<plugin>
<groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
<artifactId>maven-dependency-plugin</artifactId>
<version>2.4</version>
<executions>
<execution>
<id>copy-dependencies</id>
<phase>package</phase>
<goals><goal>copy-dependencies</goal></goals>
</execution>
</executions>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</build>
If you have that config, check that your Spring dependencies are not set as provided.

As outlined in comments, you can use the hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto configuration setting to control how Hibernate will bootstrap your SessionFactory and manage your schema. You can find more information on the various options for this setting here; however, it is recommended that you typically not use this option in a production environment.
The message regarding hibernate_sequences table comes from a change in default behavior between Hibernate 4.x and 5.x releases.
In the 4.x release stream, the #GeneratedValue annotation would default to using data types such as AUTO_INCREMENT on MySQL or IDENTITY on SQL Server to name a few. In other words, the row's primary key was handled by the database natively in conjunction with the column data type used.
In the 5.x release stream, the default behavior changed due to a new set of identifier generator mappings that were introduced in 4.3.x. The AUTO behavior now uses these new id generator mappings instead which rely on the hibernate_sequences table.
If you want the 4.x behavior while using Hibernate 5.x, you can either set the configuration hibernate.id.new_generator_mappings=false or you can simply change the annotation on the class to be specific, e.g. #GeneratedValue( strategy = GenerationType.IDENTITY ).

JPA2 with HBase datastore using Datanucleus writing duplicate rows

I'm creating simple java web app that writes one row of data to HBase table via JPA2 (using Datanucleus) everything working except it writing 2 duplicate rows instead of just writing 1 row

UPDATE
#Datanucleus
I had code in spring mvc controller calling DAO (adding Account object), i don't know why but this was causing the duplicate rows, Datanucleus works perfectly.
While i couldn't find why it was creating duplicate rows, i swap out Datanucleus for Kundera it seems to solve the problem of duplicate rows
I think there a bug in Datanucleus
