java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: The region 'eu-west-2' is not a valid region

I am deploying Spring boot application in the London region on an AWS beanstalk Platform but I am getting error:-
"Failed to instantiate [org.springframework.cloud.aws.core.region.StaticRegionProvider]: Constructor threw exception; nested exception is java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: The region 'eu-west-2' is not a valid region!"
I had even placed cloud.aws.region.static=eu-west-2 and cloud.aws.region.auto=false in the application.properties file but still the error remains the same.

It doesn't appear that eu-west-2 is a supported AWS region yet in Spring Cloud AWS.
eu-west-1 does appear to be supported.
Possible regions are (currently) us-east-1, us-west-1, us-west-2, eu-west-1, eu-central-1, ap-southeast-1, ap-southeast-1, ap-northeast-1, sa-east-1, cn-north-1 and any custom region configured with own region meta data
Update
Using Spring Boot 2.2.1.RELEASE and a modified version of the CloudFormation template here, I had no problem starting the webapp locally in the eu-west-2 London AZ. Can you verify the version of Spring Boot you're running?

The code from the tutorial page match the code in my project. Here are the settings in my src/main/resources/application.properties file.

I am very new to the SpringMVC framework and Java. So I don't know what is causing the problem. I think my driver settings are not correct or I am missing a dependincy.

First of all add in properties file the dialect
spring.jpa.properties.hibernate.dialect = org.hibernate.dialect.MySQL5Dialect
I don't know now if the problem is this.I think that you just missed to set a bean.So check DAO classes and Resources classes , maybe you forgot to #Autowired some of them.
Also keep in mind that Spring Data use repository check here Working with SQL databases

Migrate DataSource configuration to properties file

I am trying to migrate DataSource configuration to Spring Boot properties file (we migrated old Spring application to Spring Boot recently) but I am having problems defining all the required properties. I was trying to follow all the documentation but I am still apparently missing something.
This was the initial DataSource definition in a #Configuration file:

I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

You don't want all those DataSource to be beans. If you read the exception and look at the Java doc for those DataSource decorators it will tell you not to create beans from except the most outer one.
So the trick is to remove #Bean from all but the outer DataSource.

You probably don't even need the LazyConnectionDataSourceProxy as I believe BoneCP does something to this effect.

The error message is clear: you have defined 4 beans of type datasource. userRepository requires one datasource and so Spring does not know which one to inject.
No qualifying bean of type [javax.sql.DataSource] is defined:

transactionAwareDataSource,source,lazyConnectionDataSource,dataSource
From what I see you expose all of them as beans but source and lazyConnectionDataSource are used to build transactionAwareDataSource so they should not be annotated with #Bean.
Then there is dataSource bean which seems to be created by spring boot maybe from your application properties.
