#EnableResourceServer not working with spring-webflux - java

I created an application at http://start.spring.io, specifying "Reactive Web" and "Security". I then built and ran the application without issues.
Then I added the spring-security-oauth2-autoconfigure dependency to my pom, and #EnableResourceServer to my application class. I now see an exception because something is looking for javax.servlet.Filter even though my application is not servlet-based.

The spring-security-oauth2 project currently has a hard dependency on Spring MVC and the Servlet API. I don't think this project already supports Spring WebFlux.

Getting java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: jakarta.servlet.ServletContext

I installed Intellij on my new laptop and I attempted to run a very simple Spring Boot web app from a course i cloned. When I run the app, I keep getting the same java.lang.IllegalStateException: Failed to introspect Class [org.springframework.web.context.support.GenericWebApplicationContext] from ClassLoader [jdk.internal.loader.ClassLoaders$AppClassLoader#2f0e140b] followed by java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: jakarta.servlet.ServletContext. Everything works fine when i run the app in (for example) Visual Studio Code.

I tried downloading multiple versions of jakarta.servlet-api and I get the same error every time. When I download jakarta.servlet-api, I don't get ServletContext interface in jakarta/servlet folder. Is there something I'm missing?

Your pom looks good. Try the suggestion from this post: Force Intellij IDEA to reread all maven dependencies. From what I can tell your intelij is has not loaded the dependency into your env yet.

Springboot run failing on Eureka client dependency

When I add this to my project parent pom:

When I remove the dependency, the project runs successfully.
I'm just trying to add a Eureka client to register center but it doesn't work. When I create a new project with Spring Initializr though, it works well.

NoClassDefFoundError when specifying user filters

We are trying to build a spring application using LDAP for authentication, but once we overwrite the configure method within WebSecurityConfigurerAdapter, we get a NoClassDefFoundError.
Our application is written in java11, we are using code-based/annotation-based configuration. We had some problems with the spring embedded LDAP server, so we switched to OpenLDAP. We verified the server using JXplorer.

When I am using a java machine of version 8 it works but when I am using java 11 it is throwing bellow exception. I am not sure what I am missing.
Also I tried using both
hibernate-jpa-2.0-api
and
jaxb-api
but no luck still.

Okay finally I got a solution here. First of all I updated the pom.xml with latest spring boot version of 2.1.1

However this was not sufficient as I encountered another problem with my repositories like this

The bean 'IDocumentRepository', defined in null, could not be registered. A bean with that name has already been defined in null and overriding is disabled.
Action:
Consider renaming one of the beans or enabling overriding by setting spring.main.allow-bean-definition-overriding=true
Then I put
spring.main.allow-bean-definition-overriding=true
in application.properties and now it works.

Spring boot project Application Run Failed Error when creating Bean 'entityManagerFactory;

I am currently attempting to work on this project: https://www.devglan.com/spring-boot/file-upload-angularjs-spring-boot-rest in intellij, and I'm in the process of getting it to run. It manages to load and display the Spring logo in my console, but I keep running into an error which says Error creating bean with name 'entityManagerFactory' and I'm not quite sure how to solve it. When the entity manager is created, it runs through all your registered entities and comes up with a mapping of those classes so that it knows how to translate between objects and database tables.
This error tells you that it's having a problem generating that mapping:
org.hibernate.AnnotationException: No identifier specified for entity: com.formupload.demo.service.Document
Specifically, that means that your Document class doesn't have an identifier (i.e. the ORM doesn't know which class property maps to the table's primary key in the database). In the example you provided, that class looks like this:

I'm willing to bet that you're missing the #Id annotation in your project.
