NoClassDefFoundError in Java, using maven and Intellij Designer - java

When I try to run my application with maven from the terminal, I get a NoClassDefFoundError in main thread. I have used IntelliJ GUI Designer. When I run using IntelliJ it runs fine. But when I run from the terminal theses errors pop up.

Maven could not resolve dependencies when using mvn test version number

Hello I have two spring boot modules, a mediator class and a mockserver class. The mediator class has the parent pom and the mockserver class has the child pom. They both have two spring boot apps on their respective ports.
I am trying to add a dependency to the mockserver class pom for the mediator class like this:
<dependency>
<groupId>com.nulogix</groupId>
<artifactId>billing_mediator</artifactId>
<version>${nulogix-release-number}-${git.version.number}</version>
<scope>compile</scope>
</dependency>
When I run mvn test though I get this error and I do not know why because the version is being copied from the parent POM.
[ERROR] Failed to execute goal on project mock_server: Could not resolve dependencies for project com.nulogix:mock_server:jar:0.9.6_M2-${git.commit.time}.${git.commit.id.describe-short}: Failure to find com.nulogix:billing_mediator:jar:0.9.6-M2
Here is my mediator pom file:

My Mock Server App will run but my main app will not (mediator)
If you want to use properties in the version number of your project, you need you the ci-friendly properties (https://maven.apache.org/maven-ci-friendly.html). Other properties can only be used in dependencies, not in your own version number.

How to configure pom.xml when working with web services

I developed a Maven Application, it works fine when I run it from Netbeans, but when I try to use the jar file it's generating the following error occurred:

I think my pom.xml file is not configured properly.

RavenDB Java client missing StringUtils

I downloaded the RavenDB Java client 3.2.1 jar from here, created a new Java project in Ecplise, added the jar to the list of references, then took these three lines
IDocumentStore store = new DocumentStore(ravenDbUrl, "todo-db");
store.initialize();
store.executeIndex(new TodoByTitleIndex());
from here, replaced the values with my db-specific names, and expected some sign of life from the db. Instead, I'm getting "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/commons/lang/StringUtils".
I must admit, it's been a while since I've done Java, but surely this isn't missing something glaringly obvious, is it ?!
I have included the commons-lang3-3.5.jar file as well, but it's not taking that. Could you please point me in the right direction ?
Thanks !
Adding the "official" pom to my Eclipse project made it compile and run.
For the record, here's the pom, in case someone needs a base from which to investigate:

Netbeans runtime configuration in jar

I have a maven project and jni4net is one of the dependency and it's running fine in Netbeans. But when i package it into a jar i get the error java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no jni4net.n-0.8.8.0 in java.library.path. I solved this problem in Netbenas by setting Working directory and VM Options in Project Properties -> Run. Now is there a way to include these configurations while packaging it as jar, or any other solution.
Thanks in advance...
Here is my pom

How to pack switchyard application with maven

How can I pack switchyard application with has dependencies to my another project with Maven? Currently I'm trying to make things work as explained here
official dock.
But with no result, on startup of application in log file I see
Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/aspiderngi/common/switchyard/InventoryRequest
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.aspiderngi.common.switchyard.InventoryRequest from...
Is it possible to achieve anyways?

You can use Maven Shade plugin:
https://maven.apache.org/plugins/maven-shade-plugin/
example:
<project>
...
<build>
<plugins>
<plugin>
<groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
<artifactId>maven-shade-plugin</artifactId>
<version>2.4.1</version>
<executions>
<execution>
<phase>package</phase>
<goals>
<goal>shade</goal>
</goals>
<configuration>
<shadedArtifactAttached>true</shadedArtifactAttached>
<shadedClassifierName>jackofall</shadedClassifierName> <!-- Any name that makes sense -->
</configuration>
</execution>
</executions>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</build>
...
</project>
Please try this out. The dependent project must have its own pom.xml(child)
Include this child pom to the parent pom. And include the below code in the parent pom.xml
This would directly deploy the application in the server
From project root in cmd execute the below commands:
1. mvn clean
2. mvn dependency:resolve
3. mvn install
if you are using Eclipse, use maven update. then Run As maven install
<build>
<plugins>
<plugin>
<artifactId>maven-compiler-plugin</artifactId>
<version>3.1</version>
<configuration>
<source>1.7</source>
<target>1.7</target>
<debug>true</debug>
</configuration>
</plugin>
<plugin>
<groupId>org.jboss.as.plugins</groupId>
<artifactId>jboss-as-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<configuration>
<skip>false</skip>
</configuration>
</plugin>
<plugin>
<groupId>org.switchyard</groupId>
<artifactId>switchyard-plugin</artifactId>
<version>${switchyard.version}</version>
<executions>
<execution>
<goals>
<goal>configure</goal>
</goals>
</execution>
</executions>
<configuration>
<scannerClassNames>
<param>org.switchyard.transform.config.model.TransformSwitchYardScanner</param>
</scannerClassNames>
</configuration>
</plugin>
<plugin>
<groupId>org.jboss.as.plugins</groupId>
<artifactId>jboss-as-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<executions>
<execution>
<phase>install</phase>
<goals>
<goal>deploy</goal>
</goals>
</execution>
</executions>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</build>
if you are using Bean then include
<scannerClassNames>
<param>org.switchyard.transform.config.model.BeanSwitchYardScanner</param>
</scannerClassNames>
