java save load methods save locations - java

Hey I am trying to figure out how to get my save / load methods to put the .txt file they generate into a zip and how can I set the location of the file. this is my code so far :

After looking at your code the only thing i can consider for cause of error is
if (StringUtils.containsIgnoreCase(strIMEI[i],"abcd")) {

You are trying to access strIMEI[i+1] which will throw an error if your last element in strIMEI contains "abcd".

How to remove the quotes while converting a file from sql to tbl

Below is the code which converts the .sql file for insert statements into .tbl file. As the input file is .sql file it contains varchar(string) values inside single quotes. How can I prevent these quotes from getting in my tbl file?

I'm not sure you understand how try...catch...finally works. Here's what you have:

You close writer ONCE before you've even used it (finally block gets executed after the try block), and ONCE inside the loop. So, if somehow the code could make it past the writer.close() in the finally block, it would never make it through the loop more than once.
It is not necessary to close a BufferedWriter. The class makes sure to close it internally.
If you are using Java 7, you might want to consider using the "try-with-resources" syntax, which can simplify a correct implementation of file handling greatly in cases like this. Your original code had some issues, but even the accepted answer has some problems that I believe will result in a NullPointerException in the case where the file can't be opened (unverified).
I think you may also have some problems with your while loop boundary conditions also. I've changed the while loop to the more traditional for loop. Keep in mind that java array elements run from 0 to array.length - 1 inclusive.

You'll have to write one line to the file for each organization. So, basically, do not concatenate all organizations for a user with the string builder and move the output statements into the for loop that iterates through the organizations.

How to read a Table in a PDF using iText java?

I dont have much idea on pdf processing using java.I want to read a table in a PDF file using the iText java library. How to proceed?
You can extract text from a content stream, but for ordinary PDFs, the result will be plain text (without any structure). If there's a table on the page, that table won't be recognized as such. You'll get the content and some white space, but that's not a tabular structure! Only if you have a tagged PDF, you can obtain an XML-file. If the PDF contains tags that are recognized as table tags, this will be reflected in the PDF.

For reading content of the table from a PDF file, you only have to convert the PDF into a text file by using any API (I have used PdfTextExtracter.getTextFromPage() of iText) and then read that txt file by your Java program. After reading it the major task is done. You have to filter the data that you need, which you can do by continuously using split method of String class until you find the record you want.
