Develop Reference

files aren't generated using Swagger codegen plugin

I can't generate the models / controllers / services in any way, I run this command mvn clean install but it generates the files in target/generate-sources,I have used json but also yaml, How can I make this generate it for me in src/main?

Why maven sometimes can't resolve dependencies?

For Spring Module, When I reload all maven projects from IntelliJ, it successfully resolve all dependencies but for SpringBootLocalstack if I remove "version" tag from pom file it failed to resolve, Example:

I am getting:
Cannot resolve com.amazonaws:aws-java-sdk-core:unknown
I don't want to mention any specific version here. Now my questions are:
why sometimes maven can resolve dependencies like the above "Spring" Module and sometimes can't?(SpringBootLocalstack module where I didn't mention version no)
How can we achieve compatibility safety for our maven dependencies? Is there any plugin (already tried dependency analyzer and version maven plugin but no luck)
How can we upgrade our old project to new maven dependencies without breaking the existing project feature?

You have declared 'org.springframework.boot' as the parent module of both modules. So if some jars and artifacts like 'com.amazonaws' do not exist in 'org.springframework.boot', they won't be resolved in your project. These dependencies are not announced in 'Spring' module in your project and whatever you have declared in it, can be found in 'org.springframework.boot', then resolved. If you do not declare a 'version' tag in your pom, I guess the version of the parent (here 2.6.1) will be considered for your module version.

I think BOM (Bill of Materials) may come into rescue. If we use BOM, we don't need to specify version numbers each time we add dependencies under same parent POM. For example:

Maven could not find or load main class

I have a java spring boot project dr3 you can find his structure below.
For some reasons I recently migrate from gradle to maven. Now I am trying to run my jar build with maven but for some reason Maven don't find my main class and I get this error : Error: Could not find or load main class com.mycompany.dr3.admin.Application even though it is well declared below... do you have any ideas where this problem could come from?

Then your admin child project should be something like this, it includes the library as a dependency, you shouldn't need the main class, you've already told Spring that :

How to remove all the jars from a spring boot application using maven

I need to remove all the jars (the whole lib and lib-provided folders) from the war that I'm building using spring boot, since the web application will be deployed on Websphere, using commons shared libraries.
Is there any way to do that, since exclusions from the war plugin can't be used, and exclusions from the boot maven plugin are meant to be used punctual?

If you mean you want to exclude jars inside your-project.war/WEB-INF/lib, then you could try to use <scope>provided</scope>.
Example

By looking and test your pom.xml, you could remove these lines:
