I'm able to execute the project in Eclipse, but when I export it as a jar (Eclipse Option : Extract the required libraries in jar) I'm getting following exception

While running a web application on server I am getting the below exception:
Server Used : Apache Tomcat 8.5
Exception : java.sql.SQLException: Unable to load class: com.mysql.jdbc.Driver from ClassLoader
I have tried lot of things including putting ojdbc6.jar in WEB-INF/lib folder,
putting jar in apache tomcat lib folder,in build path of project i have manually added the jar, also based on google findings attempted few turnarounds which didn't worked out in my case.
From the perspective of a web application, class or resource loading looks in the following repositories, in this order:
Bootstrap classes of your JVM
/WEB-INF/classes of your web application
/WEB-INF/lib/*.jar of your web application
System class loader classes (described above)
Common class loader classes (described above)
I have the jar in /WEB-INF/lib/ folder.

Expected Result : It Must not throw any exception of jar as jar is already present in the /WEB-INF/lib/, as well as in tomcat/lib folder.
Actual Result : It is throwing Exception as stated above.
You are apparently trying to load a MySQL JDBC driver class (com.mysql.jdbc.Driver) from an Oracle JDBC JAR file (ojdbc6.jar)
This won't work.
If you are trying to talk to an Oracle database, you need to use the Driver class name for Oracle JDBC.
If you are trying to talk to a MySQL database, you need to use the appropriate JConnector drivers.
Based on your comments, the problem is that you put the JDBC driver JAR file in the wrong place. If you are using Tomcat's JNDI Datasource configuration mechanism, the driver JARs need to be in $CATALINA_HOME/lib ... as per the instructions.
This is because the drivers are loaded by core Tomcat code, not by your webapp. Your webapp's WEB-INF/lib directory won't be on the classpath for the classloader for the core.
I want to post an answer after few more brainstorming(atleast in my case).
WEB-INF/lib folder should contains both jars, if in case it is not picked from there by class loader in some strange scenario(my case), copy the same in tomcat/lib folder.
It worked it for me, so posting an answer, I am open for any other views.
I encountered this error when working on a Java Project in Debian 10.
The issue was that I had multiple .jar files for MySQL JDBC connector, that is:
mysql-connector-java-5.1.27.jar
mysql-connector-java-5.1.27.jar-1
Here's how I fixed it:
I simply deleted both files starting with the main file:
sudo rm -rf mysql-connector-java-5.1.27.jar
sudo rm -rf mysql-connector-java-5.1.27.jar-1
Then I downloaded a copy of the file into the lib directory of tomcat (/opt/tomcat/lib) again:
sudo wget https://repo1.maven.org/maven2/mysql/mysql-connector-java/5.1.27/mysql-connector-java-5.1.27.jar
And everything worked fine again.
That's all.
I hope this helps
When the WebLogic server tries to auto-deploy my application I'm getting this error:
lang.ClassCastException:
weblogic.xml.jaxp.RegistryDocumentBuilderFactory cannot be cast to
javax.xml.parsers.DocumentBuilderFactory
I've done some research and some posts say that I should remove the xml-apis.jar from my classpath. This actually alleviates the problem but my application doesn't work correctly after that. So I'm wondering if there is anything else that I can do to fix this.
I'm using WebLogix 12.1.3.0.0, Java 1.7 and Spring 3.2.3.

Place your xml-apis.jar to $JRE_HOME/lib/endorsed
$JRE_HOME is the directory where your weblogic JRE (JDK) is located
I am trying to load my spring context.xml file using Java from the classpath. My context.xml file is in src/main/resources.
public static void main(String[] args) {
ClassPathXmlApplicationContext context = null;
try {
context = new ClassPathXmlApplicationContext("classpath:context.xml");
context.registerShutdownHook();
} catch (Exception ex) {
ex.printStackTrace();
} finally {
if (context != null) {
context.close();
}
}
}
Above code works fine when I am running in my eclipse. But as soon as I package it into a runnable jar by right clicking the project and select export as a runnable jar and then run the jar from a ubuntu machine as -
java -jar test.jar
Then I am getting below exception -

Is there anything I am missing?
You probably didn't include the resources in src/main/resources in your jar. I don't believe the Maven plugin is involved in Eclipse's Jar Export utility.
I am new to Maven and Spring, and would appreciate some help.
When running the program from Eclipse, everything is fine. The application context loads correctly and all beans are loaded.
I then used mvn clean package to build a MyApp.jar
When I run the the jar using java -jar MyApp.jar, I get the error Failed to read schema document
Some more info:
I included the Spring configuration file,init.xml under src/main/resources
such that is included in the built jar
The Spring config is loaded in the main class with
config = new ClassPathXmlApplicationContext("init.xml");
Some other config files will also be needed, and is contained in /etc/resources/ which lies in the same directory as myApp.jar
myApp.jar is built with dependencies
I have tested this approach with a jar built by Netbeans 7.4, and had no problems at all, only when I moved to Maven I ran into this problem.
I have a solid internet connection, so I don't understand the 'connection refused' (inn stacktrace)
Here is the stacktrace:

Some of init.xml
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<beans xmlns= "http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans"
xmlns:xsi= "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xmlns:p= "http://www.springframework.org/schema/p"
xmlns:aop= "http://www.springframework.org/schema/aop"
xmlns:context="http://www.springframework.org/schema/context"
xsi:schemaLocation= "http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans
http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans-4.0.xsd
http://www.springframework.org/schema/aop
http://www.springframework.org/schema/aop/spring-aop-4.0.xsd
http://www.springframework.org/schema/context
http://www.springframework.org/schema/context/spring-context-3.0.xsd">
<context:annotation-config/>
<context:component-scan base-package="location.of.my.app"/>
<!-- Some bean definitions -->
...
...
...
</beans>
Again, when I run the main method from Eclipse, all beans are loaded and the applications starts successfully.
Is it possible for this to happen because all the Spring dependencies are contained in the myApp.jar? Or maybe because the init.xml is contained in the myApp.jar? Or is it possible that I'm getting Spring errors caused by Maven packaging methods?
Thanks in advance.
Due to the fact that I have received no answers and I found a way to fix the problem.
It seems, when the Spring Application Context, or in my case;
config = new ClassPathXmlApplicationContext("init.xml")
is built, the schema locations of the *.xds documents are mapped to the location of the *.xds documents inside the local library. The mappings are contained in META-INF/spring.schemas and META-INF/spring.handlers
Thus, in my case, when config was initialised, each schemaLocation was compared to the known local versions of the *.xds document in question. The same happens when handlers are loaded.
So this is how I solved it.
PROBLEM 1
In the case of a incorrect or missing entry in META-INF/spring.schemas
org.xml.sax.SAXParseException; lineNumber: 14; columnNumber: 33;
schema_reference.4: Failed to read schema document 'http://www.springframework.org/schema/context/spring-context-3.0.xsd', because
1) could not find the document;
2) the document could not be read;
3) the root element of the document is not <xsd:schema>
SOLUTION 1
This can be fixed by simply adding the reference to META-INF/spring.schemas for spring-context-3.0.xsd, like so:
http\://www.springframework.org/schema/context/spring-context-4.0.xsd=org/springframework/context/config/spring-context-4.0.xsd
PROBLEM 2
or in the case of a incorrect or missing entry in META-INF/spring.handlers
Configuration problem: Unable to locate Spring NamespaceHandler for XML schema namespace [http://www.springframework.org/schema/aop]
Offending resource: class path resource [init.xml]
SOLUTION 2
This can be fixed by adding the following line to META-INF/spring.handlers
http\://www.springframework.org/schema/aop=org.springframework.aop.config.AopNamespaceHandler
If I am not mistaken a bug in the maven-assembly-plugin. The solution I provided is not permanent and will be need after each JAR build by Maven. Some more robust and effective solutions are available but for my purposes this was fine.

I am using spring 3, hibernate validator 4. My unit test is running fine. But i am getting this(see below) for my functional test, have i miss out some dependencies?
Dependencies i had added for hibernate validator:
validation-api-1.0.0.GA.jar
hibernate-validator-4.0.2.GA.jar
Here's my the content of validation.xml:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<validation-config xmlns="http://jboss.org/xml/ns/javax/validation/configuration"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://jboss.org/xml/ns/javax/validation/configuration
http://jboss.org/xml/ns/javax/validation/configuration/validation-configuration-1.0.xsd">
<default-provider>org.hibernate.validator.HibernateValidator</default-provider>
<message-interpolator>org.hibernate.validator.engine.ResourceBundleMessageInterpolator</message-interpolator>
<traversable-resolver>org.hibernate.validator.engine.resolver.DefaultTraversableResolver</traversable-resolver>
<constraint-validator-factory>org.hibernate.validator.engine.ConstraintValidatorFactoryImpl</constraint-validator-factory>
<!-- <configuration:constraint-mapping>constraints-user.xml</configuration:constraint-mapping> -->
</validation-config>
The error:

I have search around and i found no solution =(. Any idea? thank you~!
validation.xml is not a Spring config file, you shouldn't try to load it with Spring.
