Store the path of the image into the database - java

I want to show large image in my Crud Layout. I save an image byte to database like this.
byte[] image = cursor.getBlob(3);
When i insert image in my crud layout it give me error/blank page because the BLOB is too big in the database so i want to store the path of the image into the database and the use the path to access/display the image.
I don't know how to do it since im new in java

I have a android studio project and use 'com.timehop.stickyheadersrecyclerview:library:0.4.3#aar'

How to change the rows color in Listview on specific data from Sqlite database

I have custom list view and my data is coming from sqlite database. Now I want to change specific listview item's background color according to the id. First, I check the id if exist in database, then change particular item row background color according to the id.
My problem is that it checks successfully, but when I tried to change background color it changes whole listview background color. Here is picture and code of my data. Then you'll get my point, what actually I want to say you!

Assuming you store the IDs in private List<String>verseid;, you can use it to check the ID of current ListView item.
The current item position is passed to you in final int position parameter.
So to check and apply color:

Note that due to the way the ListView works (recycling items) you have to set the default color inside else.

Cannot upload image with size more than 2mb+

I want to show a large image in my Crud Layout. I success upload image with size 1mb+ but can't upload image more than 2mb.
any solution? maybe reduce an Image file size before uploading to SQLite server?

It is not advisable to store large BLOBS or similar data in the SQLite database. You should use the file system and only store a reference to the data in you database
Generally you should avoid blobs in SQLite as they perform poorly; instead save the blob data as a file and store the location of the file in your DB.
There's a limit of 1MB on internal assets due to dynamic decompression; the 1MB limit also seems to apply to Cursor blobs but this doesn't seem to be documented anywhere.
so you store your image in internal directory and its path is insert in SQLite DB so its easy for you

I am trying to use onActivityResult in my RecyclerViewAdapter. But I get the error that the 'The method does not override from its superclass'. You have to override onActivityResult in your activity wich contains the recyclerview not in viewholder class
You must implement onActivityResult in your activity class not in RecyclerViewAdapter. This method is used from your activity to retrieve data from other intents/activities that have started from your activity and normally
it has no place inside RecyclerViewAdapter.
you should use onActivityForResult in activity ,and create interface to handle action ,logic - adapter only display view.

favorite Recycler view updates only on relaunching app

I developed a word app that contains English vocabularies and users can add their favorite word by clicking on a floating button. Every time my favorite list has at list one item it is updated but when it's empty it doesn't show anything but when I run app again list updates.

In your FloatingActionButton onClick method after you save the new item in your database, insert your new item into your recyclerview datasource list and call notifyDatasetChanged() on the adapter.
Choice 1: in onResume() stub of MainActivity, call selectList() and selectFavorite() and then load the PageFragment again so that the new list is loaded properly.
This is the shortest wayout but this approach is very much unoptimized and is not recommended.
Choice 2: You will have to insert the new item in database as well as add it to the List and then call notifyDatasetChanged
In MainActivity within methods selectList() and selectFavorite() after you perform list.add(struct) and favourite.add(struct) respectively, you will have to call notifyDatasetChanged() for the Adapter.
But the problem is your RecyclerView is in the PageFragment whereas you're populating the list in MainActivity.
So move your selectList() and selectFavorite() to PageFragment where you first initialize the RecylerView then, set the Adapter and then populate the list and finally call notifyDatasetChanged() on your adapters.
