I'm facing some issue compiling an app in Cordova.
Basically after a Windows re-installation I re-istalled Android Studio, NPM and Cordova but when I try to run an application (I tried with the application I was working on before the OS re-installation and even with the "basic" Cordova app) Cordova give me "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NullPointerException" (rest of the error below).
I've installed Gradle manually "C:\src\gradle-5.6" and set the environment variable (before Windows re-istallation I didn't installed it manually and it was working) and tried even to download and configure via env. varible the same version on the
\platforms\android\cordova\lib\builders\ProjectBuilder.js file, which is 4.10.3 but still the same error.

Did anyone else faced this issue and managed to solve it?
I reply by myself to this in case someone faces the same issue.
I just downgrade java (JRE and JDK) from 221 to 212, rebooted the pc et voilá, it works again.

I'm using jpackage (part of jdk14+) to build an MSI for windows installation of my java application. Everything packages and installs fine, but when I go to run the .exe it throws an exception while trying to initialize Sentry.

This is using the latest sentry 5.2.0 library (tested all the way back to 4.2 and it still has the error though), and have tested JDK 14 through 17 to see if any of them work, which they don't.
Everything works fine if I'm running the .jar with java -jar program.jar, but it seems like jpackage creates an executable that doesn't work quite the same as simply running java.
The call to jpackage needed --add-modules jdk.internal.vm.compiler to fix this in JDK14, and by JDK17 it needs to be --add-modules jdk.unsupported instead.
Alright so I'm trying to build my React-Native app using Android Studio. I first ran into this error when building:
Failed to install the following Android SDK packages as some licences have not been accepted.
build-tools;29.0.2 Android SDK Build-Tools 29.0.2
To build this project, accept the SDK license agreements and install the missing components using the Android Studio SDK Manager.
Alternatively, to transfer the license agreements from one workstation to another, see http://d.android.com/r/studio-ui/export-licenses.html
Using Android SDK: C:\Users\jaspe\AppData\Local\Android\Sdk
When figuring that out I came across this answer which told me to accept the licenses. However in trying to do so I got the following error:
C:\Users\jaspe\AppData\Local\Android\Sdk\tools\bin>sdkmanager --licenses
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/xml/bind/annotation/XmlSchema

To resolve which I found this post. I don't use brew, but I tried the second answer. It didn't work, sadly enough. Then I found out I didn't have a JDK installed, so I did that. But with the newest JDK installed I still get an exception:
C:\Users\jaspe\AppData\Local\Android\Sdk\tools\bin>sdkmanager.bat -licenses
Error occurred during initialization of boot layer
java.lang.module.FindException: Module java.xml.bind not found
And now I'm not sure what to do anymore. I found an answer explaining I needed to edit my project settings, but I think this doesn't apply to my project, and honestly I'm in a bit over my head. Does someone have experiences with these errors, and can help me fix them? I've spent the whole morning trying to figure this out, I'd expected building a runnable .APK as a demo would be easier...
You are using the wrong sdkmanager, tools directory has been deprecated
Open Android Studio and install the latest command-line tools:
This will create this folder in your Android SDK:
...\Android\Sdk\cmdline-tools\latest\bin
Now use the sdkmanager which is inside the bin directory to accept all the licenses:
C:\Users\jaspe\AppData\Local\Android\Sdk\cmdline-tools\latest\bin>sdkmanager.bat --licenses
#MatPag's answer has the solution I needed, but it took me a while to recognise it. Posting this answer for a specific case incase it helps someone else.
I was trying to setup Unreal Engine v4.25.4 when I encountered this error. I needed to run a batch script that came with Unreal Engine located at:

which produced the error:

Even after I located the sdkmanager.bat script and executed it according to MatPag's answer, my AndroidSetup.bat script was failing.
Eventually I realised the AndroidSetup.bat was trying to call the sdkmanager.bat from the wrong location.
I edited the AndroidSetup.bat file (line 61) as follows to correct the path:
:: set SDKMANAGER=%STUDIO_SDK_PATH%\tools\bin\sdkmanager.bat
set SDKMANAGER=%STUDIO_SDK_PATH%\cmdline-tools\latest\bin\sdkmanager.bat
On fresh React-Native project, i would like run default app on Android device, but i've this Java Exception :

To suppress this warning, remove "buildToolsVersion '26.0.1'" from your build.gradle file, as each version of the Android Gradle Plugin now has a default version of the build tools.

The app has been run on device, but with Error 500 on Metro Bundler.
Anyone can help me about this exception ? I'm on Linux environment.
Thank you community !
You need to create a bundle for your app.
mkdir android/app/src/main/assets
react-native bundle --platform android --dev false --entry-file index.js --bundle-output android/app/src/main/assets/index.android.bundle --assets-dest android/app/src/main/res
Then you could run it on your android.
Hope this helps.
By me this error comes up, because i had a bad file in the .idea folder.
found it as i tried to start the deployment server with
npm start
may this helps
I have been trying to setup run my first react native project and have followed the steps provided here. But i keep getting this error when i run
$ react-native run-android
what i get is this

Could not install the app on the device, read the error above for details.
Make sure you have an Android emulator running or a device connected and have
set up your Android development environment:
https://facebook.github.io/react-native/docs/android-setup.html
I have searched and all i have seen so far are genymotion user solutions.
Any idea on how to fix this?
Oh, i found the error, the zip file in
/home/webshinobis/.gradle/wrapper/dists/gradle-2.4-all/6r4uqcc6ovnq6ac6s0txzcpc0/gradle-2.4-all.zip
was corrupt that's y it could not be unzipped by the java.
So I have to go into the folder and delete the zip file mannualy and then run
react-native run-android
again. Hope that helps someone else. This is usually due to internet connection issues.
Set your ANDROID_HOME environment variables. Check your adb devices first. If your device is available. See the cyprusglobe suggestion.
Run:
- chmod 755 android/gradlew
- react-native run-android
I have installed java JRE but i keep on getting. Am using windows 10 for development

I have also set JRE_HOME in the environment variables
Probably it is related to something missing or corrupted.
You can find a similar question here, hope it helps.
First of all you have to install
node.js
apache ANT
JDK & JRE
Android SDK & Eclipse
After installation, you have to set software paths into environmental- variable. Then fire your npm install -g cordova. Without this PhoneGap will not be created.
