IBM RAD does not support maven out of the box and the first thing any developer do is, to install new software from RAD help menu with m2e eclipse udpate url.

This is saying that the install needs at least version 3.5.401 of the org.eclipse.ui.navigator plugin. Eclipse Luna 4.4.0 only has version 3.5.400 of this plugin.
The 4.4.2 maintenance release of Luna does have version of 3.5.401 of this plugin so you need to update to that (or move to a newer version of Eclipse such as the current Eclipse Oxygen 4.7.0).
If it is Spring STS IDE ; you can goto Help -> About spring tool Suite -> Installation Details button will be there,
Click that one window will be poped-up. Click on "Update"
Hope this works for Eclipse based IDE's
I am new to Eclipse. I was installing Maven plugin in Eclipse Helios and I have gone through all the answers from stack but still I was not able to solve it. I used
http://download.eclipse.org/technology/m2e/releases/1.3

Like Sudha Velan said, you try the eclipse marketplace(Help -> Eclipse Marketplace).
I prefer downloading the binary files from the maven homepage.
I am attempting to install the plugin via the repository install in Eclipse ( Help -> Install New Software -> Work With: http://download.eclipse.org/technology/m2e/releases/ -> Next) and am getting a big error:

I tried finding information on the guava bundle but am not able to search for this in the Eclipse marketplace or find any repo out there I can install from either.
I am using Eclipse Juno SR2. I've read that certain version of Eclipse can't install guava bundle but didn't read that Juno was one of them.
Juno only supports 1.3 version. So download it from here.
download.eclipse.org/technology/m2e/releases/1.3
You're trying to install the latest version of m2e into a very old version of Eclipse; the two are not compatible. You have 2 options:
Install a new version of Eclipse. The Java and Java EE packages both include m2e so you won't have to do anything to install it into them. Plus you get the benefit of having the latest features and bug fixes in both Eclipse and m2e.
Install the version of m2e that's compatible with your Juno Eclipse release. To do so with the Install New Software... wizard, select the Juno repository to work with (not the m2e repository), and search for m2e in the list of options.
I am trying to install maven 1.5 in eclipse unfortunately I am getting errors like:
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: m2e - Maven Integration for Eclipse (includes Incubating components) 1.5.0.20140606-0033 (org.eclipse.m2e.feature.feature.group 1.5.0.20140606-0033)

EClipse juno doesnt support maven 1.5..still they have not added capability of 1.5
so try 1.4 or 1.3
http://download.eclipse.org/technology/m2e/releases/1.3
http://download.eclipse.org/technology/m2e/releases/1.4
MAVEN INSTALLATION
OPTION 1 :
Open Eclipse IDE
Click Help -> Install New Software...
Click Add button at top right corner
At pop up: fill up Name as "M2Eclipse" and Location as http://download.eclipse.org/technology/m2e/releases/1.4
Now click OK
After that installation would be started.
OPTION 2 :-
Open Eclipse
Go to Help -> Eclipse Marketplace
Search by Maven
Click "Install" button at "Maven Integration for Eclipse" section
Follow the instruction step by step
After successful installation do the followings in Eclipse:
Go to Window --> Preferences
Observe, Maven is enlisted at left panel
Finally,
Click on an existing project
Select Configure -> Convert to Maven Project
This is because maven 1.5 is not compatible with eclipse juno.
So we need to use maven 1.4 or 1.3
Steps to install maven 1.4 is below
Click Help in eclipse
Install New Software
Url for the location of site is "http://download.eclipse.org/technology/m2e/releases"
Uncheck the checkbox "Show only the latest versions of available software"
if do not uncheck the checkbox it will only latest version and do not show maven 1.4.
Select m2e and slf4j of 1.4 version and click next.
Note: maven v 1.3 is compatible, correct url for juno: download.eclipse.org/technology/m2e/releases/1.3
If all the above options don't work, then first install the WST plugin in your eclipse.
In order to do that, in Eclipse Juno, go to Install New Software > Add, under Name place Juno and under Location URL insert http://download.eclipse.org/releases/juno.
Then, select WST Server Adapters under Web, XML, Java, ... (last option of the list).
Accept licensing agreement and restart Eclipse.
Then resume the usual procedure to install Maven.
Choose menu Help \ Install New Software..., then add this repository link:
http://download.eclipse.org/technology/m2e/releases/1.2/1.2.0.20120903-1050/
Then install for Eclipse WTP (Web Tool Platform) Juno 4.2.
Uncheck the option "Select only the latest version of this software", so that versions of the plugin compatible to your eclipse will be displayed, you can select one of them.
download.eclipse.org/technology/m2e/releases/1.3 has worked for
Eclipse Java EE IDE for Web Developers.

I've tried installing the EGit plugin on Eclipse with this link: http://download.eclipse.org/egit/updates

I really don't know what is going on, but I want to get this to work so badly. Thanks in advance for everyone's support!
From the error message it looks like you are using Eclipse 3.7 (which is about 2 years old at the time of writing this answer).
EGit 3.0 requires at least Eclipse 3.8.2 or Eclipse 4.2.2, see What versions of Eclipse does EGit target? in the FAQ.
So the solution is to upgrade to a recent version of Eclipse, see Eclipse downloads.
Alternatively, if you need to stick to Eclipse 3.7.2 for some reason, you can use EGit version 1.3. This is the best update site to use in that case: eclipse indigo update site. If you filter by "git" you will get the correct plugins to install.
