NOTE : I'm using Spring 2.2.2
You have some duplicate dependencies and you're mixing up the old Spring Security OAuth project with the new Spring Security 5 OAuth support. Start by removing all security-related artifacts:
spring-boot-starter-oauth2-client
spring-security-config
spring-security-oauth2
spring-security-oauth2-autoconfigure
spring-security-core
Add:
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-boot-starter-security</artifactId>
</dependency>
This will bring in the correct versions of spring-security-core and spring-security-config, among other dependencies.
Also add:
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.security</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-security-oauth2-client</artifactId>
</dependency>
After reading OAuth2 document I resolved this issue by adding "autoconfigure" dependency.
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.security.oauth.boot</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-security-oauth2-autoconfigure</artifactId>
<version>2.4.5</version>
</dependency>

Failed to build app with Maven, I can run code locally, but fail to deploy on heroku
(5 answers)
Closed 3 years ago.
I am trying to deploy a Spring Boot app on Heroku ,using Java version 11.0.1.
The error:
Failed to execute goal org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-compiler-plugin:3.8.0:compile (default-compile) on project my-project: Fatal error compiling: invalid target release: 11 -> [Help 1]
After a lot of research, I've found https://github.com/heroku/heroku-buildpack-java . I've created the system.properties file with multiple variations like :
java.runtime.version=11
java.runtime.version=11.0.1
But still, the same error appears while deploying. Spring Boot and Project java version is set to 11.
And the java version on Windows is set as well on 11.0.1
And while deploying

I have successfully deployed my application on heroku by adding system.properties file in the project root folder.
system.properties
java.runtime.version=11
pom.xml

<java.version>11</java.version>
</properties>
`

</dependency>

The solution is working.
I am working on Spring boot application with different project structure please find the attached screenshot.
When I go to eclipse and select Run as --> Maven Build with 'clean install' command it gives below error:
**[ERROR] COMPILATION ERROR :
[INFO] -------------------------------------------------------------
[ERROR] /C:/Users/UserName/Downloads/project-api/src/main/java/com/project/api/dto/APIDto.java:[6,35] package com.project.publicapi.dto does not exist**
As classes under src/public/java folder which contains package com.project.publicapi.dto is not compiled.
I have tried to build explicitly and run the project it works. But while building with maven the compilation fails with above mentioned error.
Any suggestion.

I'm trying to spin up a mock HTTP server for my testing, but I cannot get Wiremock to work.
On the mvnrepository.com website, it is suggested as such:
<!-- https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/com.github.tomakehurst/wiremock -->
<dependency>
<groupId>com.github.tomakehurst</groupId>
<artifactId>wiremock</artifactId>
<version>2.9.0</version>
<type>pom</type>
<scope>test</scope>
</dependency>
This however, does not make it available to my test class when trying to import it as such:
import static com.github.tomakehurst.wiremock.client.WireMock.*;
If I remove the <type>pom</type> tag, I can import it but it then fails at runtime because it does not pull in all of the transitive dependencies it needs (such as the Apache Httpclient).
I am not really sure what <type>pom</type> does, as it's not really clear from other explanations, so I don't know how to get past this.
