Maven shade plugin error in "IncludeResourceTransformer" [closed]
Closed 2 years ago.
Im working with Eclipse IDE and Java. The few last days i worked a lot with maven. Now i try to put the bungee.yml file into my, with maven shade plugin generated, jar-file. I look in the documentation and try to use "IncludeResourceTransformer" but when i execute mvn clean install the bungee.yml file dont include in the new jar file.
pom.xml:

ATTENTION: my bungee.yml file is in the same directory as pom.xml
Q: How should i include my bungee.yml file in my uber jar?
Related
When I want to package my Java source code and I run mvn clean package, the dependencies get pulled from the public maven repository. But instead of them ending up in the local .m2 repository, they are being written directly to my project's root folder. How can I resolve this?
The Pom.xml file looks as follows:

Let me mention that in my .m2 repository there is no settings.xml file.
Furthermore, here is a screenshot of my maven settings in IntelliJ IDEA:
I have already tried to delete my local repository and clone afresh from the remote, but that did not help either, although the remote contains no preconfigured .idea folder or something like that but only source code. Afterwards I tried with a different sample repository and the issue is the same, so apparently it must me linked to my general maven config and not to the repository itself. I am grateful for any advice!
I created fat jar(common-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar) using maven shade plugin. It generated successfully. This common dependency include to new maven project and try to generate fat jar. But it given above error. I tried with different answers as exclude MANIFEST files. After excluding MANIFEST files it asked to exclude .class files in common.jar library.
Need I use any signing method to common library or is there any way to ignore this error.
Thank you.

I wanted to run maven-assembly-plugin and create a jar file with all dependencies added to it. When I run java -jar jarfile.jar, I get the below error:
no main manifest attribute, in target/jarfile.jar
I went through several Stack Overflow posts for the same and tried all permutations and combinations. I tried adding both assembly and shade plugins. You can see the settings I have in my pom.xml above. I'm not really sure on how this is happening even though I added proper maven settings.
I verified that Java is running fine:
I verified whether I specified the main class correctly.
Everything looks fine for me except the results and I'm confused at the moment.
What might be going wrong? I expect some of them still mark the question as "duplicate", but I have been reading other posts and tried changing the settings accordingly. None of them worked.
Good quality question!
I think this will help achieve your goal.
This is what I use to build a clickable JavaFX Jar with all dependencies included.
This is using maven-jar-plugin and maven-shade-plugin rather than maven-assembly-plugin; Here is a good resource on the differences.

I've been trying to shade a package from one jar into my own and when I build the project using IntelliJ, it does not shade it in. I've been trying different things from online for over an hour and I thought it would be much simpler to ask on here. I have Maven 3.5.0 installed (mvn -version returns the proper version) and I can see the jar I'm trying to shade in the repositories directory.

I'm working on a project using DeepLearning4J, Maven, and IntelliJ. I added a user interface class to my package. However, whenever I try to import a class from the same package into my UserInterface.java class, I receive the following error:
Information:java: Errors occurred while compiling module 'stock-analyzer'
Information:javac 1.8.0_121 was used to compile java sources
Information:3/9/17, 8:16 PM - Compilation completed with 2 errors and 0 warnings in 2s 143ms
/Users/raulie/CAP5600/stock-analyzer/src/main/java/UserInterface.java
Error:(5, 17) java: package main.java does not exist
Error:(9, 13) java: cannot find symbol
symbol: class StockAnalyzerBasicForUI
location: class UserInterface
I believe this is a dependency issue with maven, but have been unable to resolve. I tried "mvn compile" and "mvn clean install" in the project directory (where the pom.xml file is), but receive a similar error like the one shown above.
Below is the pom.xml file:

Any insight you can provide into what I'm doing wrong would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
This looks like you created your intellij project wrong. Maven projects are created with src/main/java as the main source folder.
The fact it says main.java is telling me the way you setup the project it doesn't seem to recognize the source folder properly.
