IntelliJ no longer recognises JavaFX components - java

I managed to break my old MacBook and moved over to a new one. Upon re-installing IntelliJ and retrieving a Kotlin TornafoFX project from Git, the IDE no longer recognises any JavaFX components. I added JavaFX to the POM, which now looks like this:

I also get an error like this reported by the IDE:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javafx/scene/paint/Color
This did not happen on my old machine and JavaFX was not even required in the POM. Can anyone help me?

Turns out I had to revert to JDK1.8. Not gonna question why...

QueryDSL Q classes are generated in target folder but cannot be imported in other spring boot modules

I have multi module project (spring boot) and I configured QueryDSL in dao module it's working perfectly and it generated all Q classes.
But when I import this module in service module and I import a Q class in the IDE (Intellij) it does not show any error but when running mvn clean install I get an error that the class is unresolved.
Unresolved reference: QRole

The solution is:
Right-click the project folder
Select Maven
Select Generate Sources And Update Folders
Then, Intellij automatically imports generated sources to the project.

Unable to compile spring boot project with java and scala using maven

I am trying to set up application using java,scala and spring boot. I have set up pom.xml. The code is running fine in intellij and I am able to run application successfully. But when i use mvn clean install , my project is not compiling.Its giving error as cannot find symbol for the scala class.

I figured it out . The compile goal for the source should be associated with phase -> process-resources and testCompile goal should be associated with phase -> process-test-resources. Below is the snippet

Compilation failure child package does not exist

I am trying to create simple Rest API app and I want to check it with jbehave framework, everything worked fine until I added dependency for image_capture project in my service_tests project.
In my code everything fine, my service_tests recognize image_capture classes but when I am trying to mvn clean install for parent app I am getting
[ERROR] Failed to execute goal org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-compiler-plugin:3.1:testCompile (default-testCompile) on project service_tests: Compilation failure: Compilation failure:
for all packages from my image_capture project.
I am using IntelliJ, java 8 and spring boot for Rest API app.

I found a reason: Spring Boot classes is not accessible via dependencies as I understood. That a reason that my test app does not see spring boot classes while compiling via Maven. The solution is to use additional app, not spring boot app, that has class that represents spring boot Entity class.

Now I send it to local repository (later will send to Maven central) and I want people to be able to use my artifact in their pom files like:

I've attached a screenshot of the Maven dependencies in the Maven toolbar provided by Intellij that results from this POM file.
Note that the red-highlighted portions only occur when we try to add the spring-boot JPA dependency. Without it, our project works fine. It seems like Maven is re-adding dependencies that have already been added which is weird because Hystrix, for example, has NO relation to JPA.
Anyone know how to resolve this?
Maven seems to add the dependencies transitively and hence you get the extra dependencies with relevant versions present.
You can try to exclude the additional dependencies as needed.

To verify that it is the jpa dependency that is pulling in those jars again you can run the following command in the same directory as your pom.xml
mvn dependency:tree -Dverbose
This will show an output of where the depdencies come from, just search for the duplicates.
You can add the exclusion tag to whatever may be transitively pulling in those libraries like:

From Maven 3.2.1 onwards you are able to wildcard exclude transitive dependencies.
Or if you dont want to use the * wild card, explicitly state the groupId and artifactId.
Its not realy a error, it is a warning.
A warning about duplicate dependencies.
If you add the spring-boot-jpa dependencies you add other spring-boot dependencies indirectly too. But if you add spring-boot strictly, the indirect dependencies of spring-boot-jpa is ignored and may resolve in incompatibilities.
Drop that spring-boot to use the spring-boot-jpa tree only please.
