Maven successfully add dependency but found nothing in lib

That was quite strange, All the dependencies added below tag <!--failed dependencies--> are successfully added to maven, but I cannot use them in my code.
By searching them in lib, there is nothing until I force add them manually from module setting, this situation will not happen in any of other modules. I have tried to clean or invalid cache and restart, also I have tried to relink the child pom to the parent, so far , only force add manually worked. I don't know how to fix this...
All the required jars are normal in my maven repository, and they all run well in my other projects with the same pom.xml. I'm stuck here for a long time why the jars will not added into lib in this module.

How to tell Maven project to include dependencies in the target folder?

I am learning to use Maven. So, I have created a simple program, which just parses some JSON text. For that purpose, I have used an external library "jackson", and included it as a dependency in the pom.xml file along with dependencies required by "jackson" itself, as you can see below.

The program compiles fine when I type mvn clean package, and I can see the jar file created inside the target folder. But when I try to run that jar file by typing java -jar test-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar from there, it complains that it can't find the dependencies. It gives me an error like this.

try this as an answer change the group id it will work , the problem with your pom is you are not specifying the version of the jars that you are building
simply you can change ${jackson.version} to any version that you require and your existing pom will work

It will generate a runnable jar file inside your target with all dependencies included. Be sure to set the path to your main class.

This plugin will be helpful in resolving the clashes in class names with same name in multiple dependencies.

Maven plugin external dependencies are not resolved

I am writing a maven plugin using Mojo classes. The plugin requires a dependency called jcifs and included it in the pom.xml of the plugin. I am able build the plugin and it is deployed into my local repository. I can find the jar file and pom.xml in my local repository.
When I use this plugin in another project in my local system, when executing the plugin goal, I am getting an exception saying the class not found. But the class is coming from the jcifs jar and it is included as part of the dependency for my plugin.
I am not able to figure out what I am missing here. Any help is appreciated

**Step 1:**Download the jar file to you local machine
**Step 2:**Moving you jar to you maven repo:Run as shown bellow

How to slim your war file by excluding jars already on the server using maven?

I am developing a tomcat project, managed by maven in eclipse. I have to deploy it remotely and everytime I deploy it, maven copies all the jar files. I aim to use tomcat shared libs but I am not quite sure about the configuration ... here is my pom.xml:

maven assembly: unresolved compilation error

I've an application that uses Maven to build a JAR with the maven-assembly-plugin.
The project includes a list of dependencies and one of these is another Maven project.
I'm developing with Eclipse and when I run the project everything works fine. When I build with the Maven goal assembly:assembly, it makes the JAR but when I run the JAR it gives me this error:

The problem is related to the Java mail dependency. As you can see I've used com.sun.mail but I saw some other different libraries that correspond to javax.mail.
Maybe I'm missing something in my poms, such as configuration parameters or plugins.
I've also tried to put in my local repository a mail.jar that works fine in other projects but I get the same error.

The "Unresolved compilation problem" comes from a class file in your utils project that Eclipse has compiled, but where Eclipse was unable to compile it properly.
The reason you are seeing different results from Eclipse and Maven is that they are using different versions of the class file. Eclipse is doing workspace resolution, so it's using the version of SMTPMailService in utils/target/classes. Maven is resolving the utils jar from your local Maven repository, which was put there by running mvn install while you had compile errors in Eclipse.
Try running mvn clean install in the utils project (clean to remove any class files generated by Eclipse, install to replace the jar in your local repository). Then rebuild your assembly.
