BigDecimal not present when resolving type - java

I'm "up the middle" Spring Boot 2.5.4 with graphql-java-16.2 brought in via some org.springframework.experimental/graphql-spring-boot-starter dependency. The GraphQL Java Documentation suggests that I can just BigDecimal something up in my Schema: https://www.graphql-java.com/documentation/v16/scalars/

I tried just adding scalar BigDecimal to the schema.graphqls file to no avail; same stacktrace.
The pom.xml is like...

Note the graphql-spring-boot-starter starter comes by way of Spring (org.springframework.experimental/graphql-spring-boot-starter), not com.graphql-java/graphiql-spring-boot-starter, which is where many google results point me. It really shouldn't matter, that BigDecimal mapping is supposed to be a function of graphql-java-16.2. But, who knows?

I'm using spring-boot-starter-web package which includes Tomcat as a default implementation of a servlet. Seems that exception is thrown because the bean which extends WebMvcConfigurationSupport is created earlier than expected and before the ServletContext is available.
I was trying to change or remove some annotations on WebConfig.java, SecurityConfig.java and CoreApplication.java but always the result is the same.
As a test, if #EnableAutoConfiguration(exclude = { WebMvcAutoConfiguration.class }) is implemented on CoreApplication.java, the exported jar is runned as standalone application without any issue.
So how can I configure WebMvcAutoConfiguration.class in order to run the application waiting for incoming http requests? How can I do in order to build later the bean which extends WebMvcConfigurationSupport and after the ServletContext is available?
Here my repo where there is pom.xml, application.properties, config classes, controllers, main application, models and repositories.

There was some problem when build jar from Build -> Build Artifacts -> Rebuild. Seems that tomcat is not embeeded with this configuration.
If I build jar from maven menu into Intellij, the exception dissapear.

Normally, you dont define a JNDI datasource inside your application, but in your application container. Spring uses an embedded Tomcat Server though, where JNDI is disabled by default.
The easiest way would be to use an external Application Server and modifying its configuration by adding a JNDI configuration. With embedded tomcat, datasource configuration should be done using the spring.datasource properties.

we have a springboot app running with hazelcast-client 3.12.6.
the hazelcast server is not embedded we are running that externally and connecting with the hazelcast client.
The problem is when spring boot tests are running the embedded tomcat startup if failing because there is no cluster running so the client is unable to connect.

If you want just a simple unit test, then you can always mock HazeclastInstance.
However, if you want to create an integration (or E2E) test, then you should start Hazelcast server first and then Hazelcast Client can connect to it. Here is an example how to do it using #SpringBootTest

So, I finally figured it out.
The #Id annotation in the tutorial was supposed to be imported from javax.persistence, and, because it was a spring tutorial, I'd carelessly imported it with IntelliJ from org.springframework.data.annotation.Id, so it looked the same, with a different import statement.
Several things I caught in the output: No identifier specified for entity:
Then, after running in debug mode, I somehow came up with a ClassNotFoundException from the main class, which, through SpringApplication.run() calls itself...and could not find...itself.
Ran me around it circles, but I eventually got the careless mistake.
