How can i add maven google cloud project without this problem? - java

I got this error while generating a new project from Eclipse
Could not initialize class org.apache.maven.plugin.war.util.WebappStructureSerializer
I have maven on my pc version 3.8.5
Below is the full pom generated from eclipse itself to generate standard app engine project
please advice?

Unused dependencies should not be imported in application classpath

I have created a sdk which acts a library to generate api testcases .
Whenever I add my java-sdk dependency in the pom.xml file of the client application, those dependencies which are not in the client's application and used by java-sdk to add support for but are not used internally get imported along .
For eg: my java-sdk uses ApacheClient, so it contains the ApacheClient dependency for intercepting. But if the client is not using this dependency, it should not appear in the application classpath but it does.
I have created a multi-module project to upload at maven central , the module where all other module acts as dependency looks like -

For Spring Module, When I reload all maven projects from IntelliJ, it successfully resolve all dependencies but for SpringBootLocalstack if I remove "version" tag from pom file it failed to resolve, Example:
<dependency>
<groupId>com.amazonaws</groupId>
<artifactId>aws-java-sdk-core</artifactId>
</dependency>
I am getting:
Cannot resolve com.amazonaws:aws-java-sdk-core:unknown
I don't want to mention any specific version here. Now my questions are:
why sometimes maven can resolve dependencies like the above "Spring" Module and sometimes can't?(SpringBootLocalstack module where I didn't mention version no)
How can we achieve compatibility safety for our maven dependencies? Is there any plugin (already tried dependency analyzer and version maven plugin but no luck)
How can we upgrade our old project to new maven dependencies without breaking the existing project feature?
Thanks in advance.
You have declared 'org.springframework.boot' as the parent module of both modules. So if some jars and artifacts like 'com.amazonaws' do not exist in 'org.springframework.boot', they won't be resolved in your project. These dependencies are not announced in 'Spring' module in your project and whatever you have declared in it, can be found in 'org.springframework.boot', then resolved. If you do not declare a 'version' tag in your pom, I guess the version of the parent (here 2.6.1) will be considered for your module version.
I think BOM (Bill of Materials) may come into rescue. If we use BOM, we don't need to specify version numbers each time we add dependencies under same parent POM. For example:
<!-- https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/com.amazonaws/aws-java-sdk-bom -->
<dependency>
<groupId>com.amazonaws</groupId>
<artifactId>aws-java-sdk-bom</artifactId>
<version>1.12.138</version>
<type>pom</type>
<scope>import</scope>
</dependency>

When I run my test suite from testng.xml, I see Steps in the Allure report. But when using "mvn clean test" I don't see any steps

I have a Rest Assured framework. Which runs fine. Recently I incorporated Allure-reports to the project. When I run the project by right clicking testng.xml and run, I get a nice report with each #Step shown properly. But when I run the project from the command line using command mvn clean test I can't see the #Step. This is what I see.
I tried by creating a dummy project and only used the dependencies necessary to generate Allure reports. It worked fine then, but I'm unable to find the root cause.
What am I doing wrong?

After building the project i'm trying to run it with
java -jar my_app.jar --spring.config.location=file:./prop.properties --spring.config.name=prop
Which is not working my job is failing to pickup the properties defined that (code inside #Value not resolved)
Insinde of configuration class in the code i have static PropertySourcesPlaceholderConfigurer (maybe that it somehow relevant, but I doubt it..)
I am using windows 10, tried to execute from different shells (cmd and git bash)
What I'm missing here?
It turns out that spring.profiles=batch line inside property file somehow breaks that file resolution, commenting it out fixed the issue.
UPDATE
Actually, that was a typo :\

java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.glassfish.jersey.servlet.ServletContainer when deploying web project on WebLogic

I am trying to deploy my web application (in the form of an .ear file) on weblogic server, using the weblogic administration console. when I add my ear to the console, I get the following error -
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.glassfish.jersey.servlet.ServletContainer
I have already tried quite a few things form the other threads that I could find. But somehow they dont seem to be helping.
Following is the pom.xml for my module -

And this is what the weblogic console looks like when I add my project and try to run it.
Any help on how to get rid of this is much appreciated, It's been a while since I'm stuck with this!
Also, this is what my WEB-INF/lib folder looks like -
