Issue compiling my first OpenJFX Javafx project - java

Alright, so basically ive been trying to learn javafx but ive been stuck at one of the first steps: compiling.
I use IntelliJ, and ive read the OpenJFX docs, but even tho im following all the steps i just get this:

Running .jar file from cmd returna "Error initializing QuantumRenderer: no suitable pipeline found" error

I have a JavaFX project which runs perfectly well in IntelliJ, but when I tried to create a .jar and run it, I got this error:
Error: JavaFX runtime components are missing, and are required to run this application
So I ran
Java -jar --module-path C:\"Program Files (x86)"\Java\javafx-sdk-18.0.1\lib --add-modules=javafx.controls,javafx.fxml,javafx.swing .\myJar.jar

Quarkus cannot find valid Docker environment for databases

When I put quarkus.datasource.db-kind to either derby or h2, quarkusDev runs fine.
However, when I try putting quarkus.datasource.db-kind to db2 (tried postgresql with the same result) I get the following error:
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Could not find a valid Docker Environment.
I'm assuming that quarkus is trying to fetch a docker container for starting the database, but cannot find it. It does occurs a bit strange to be that quarkus is trying to start a database in quarkusDev-mode, but anyways.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

What you are seeing is Quarkus attempting to launch a container to run the database because you have not specified a quarkus.datasource.jdbc.url.
This feature is called DevServices and you find more information about it here.
This feature essentially kicks in in dev and test modes when you have not specified the database to be used.
You can explicitly run it off using quarkus.datasource.devservices.enabled=false or by setting quarkus.datasource.jdbc.url to a URL of a running database

"Graphics Device initialization failed for : d3d, sw" for JavaFX on IntelliJ IDEA Windows

While trying to run a simple JavaFX program on IntelliJ IDEA, I kept getting a long line of errors in the console that started with "Graphics Device initialization failed for : d3d, sw".
I'm certain I correctly used the openjfx libraries.
I've tried using Java Versions 11.0.4 and 12.0.1 for the project as well as JavaFX 11.0.3 and JavaFX 12.0.1. I had no idea if this would make a difference, but it still results in the same errors.
I looked up some information about "d3d," and according to a Steam Support page: "D3D errors typically occur if you are running the game at settings which your machine does not adequately support or if you are running outdated video drivers."
Is there a way to fix this, or is my hardware simply out of date?

Opening .jar file on mac using JDK 11 fails with RuntimeException

I am trying to open a .jar file (https://github.com/ptrckbnck/SQLChecker/releases) on my MAC Mojave 10.14 , I need it for my university course.
What I did:
installed java OpenJDK 11 as suggested here https://solarianprogrammer.com/2018/09/28/installing-openjdk-macos/
java -version
openjdk version "11.0.1" 2018-10-16
OpenJDK Runtime Environment 18.9 (build 11.0.1+13)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM 18.9 (build 11.0.1+13, mixed mode)
But when I run java -jar SQLChecker-1.0.jar I keep on getting the following exception:

I have read related thread Migration to JDK 11 + JavaFX 11 giving RuntimeException and downloaded also JavaFX 11, namely JavaFX Mac OS X SDK from here https://gluonhq.com/products/javafx/. I also run the following code:
export PATH_TO_FX=my/path/to/javafx-sdk-11/lib
and run HelloWorld test using JavaFX 11 as described here https://openjfx.io/openjfx-docs/. Everything worked fine but did not solve my original problem.
As was suggested by #Drimux in the related thread some libraries are missing in the OpenJDK distribution. He sad that those probably are libprism_es2.dylib, libprism_sw.dylib, libglass.dylib, libjavafx_font.dylib. So I copied those files from the javafx-sdk-11.0.1/lib into /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachine/jdk-11.0.1.jdk/Contents/Home/lib and tried to run my .jar file again. Got new exception:

This didn't fix the problem. If you need more information please request.
What else should I try?
If you have downloaded the jar from the first test release, when running it like:
java -jar SQLChecker-1.0.jar
you will get the posted exception.
As a first easy fix, if you have downloaded JavaFX 11 SDK, run this instead:
java --module-path /path-to/javafx-sdk-11/lib --add-modules javafx.controls,javafx.fxml -jar SQLChecker-1.0.jar
You can read about why you need those VM arguments here.
In any case, you shouldn't copy the native files from the JavaFX SDK to the JDK.
New releases
But there are two more new releases of SQLChecker.
If you try the last one:
java -jar SQLChecker-1.0.3.jar
that will work fine, without adding those extra arguments.
So what has changed?
They are distributing a fat Jar with the Maven shade plugin, and in order to work on JavaFX 11 on any platform, you need to include not only the jars, but also the native libraries.
As you can see, in this commit, by including the classifier tag for javafx.graphics, they added the required native libraries for Windows, Linux and Mac, as it has been also stated in this question.
If you want to know more about how to create a fat jar, see this doc.

JavaFX Graphics Device initialization failed for : es2, sw

So I made small JavaFX project that runs fine in IDE. But when exported in runnable jar in does not run on double click.
In terminal I get following error. I am running Ubuntu 15.04 on 64bit system.
I already did a lot of google search and installed both GTK3 and GTK2 libraries.
I am aware that this is copy of this question but I think it is outdated and non of the methods there have helped me.
I tried adding external jars to my project as gtk.jar, swt.jar, swt-gtk-java3.8.jar and installed every possible library like libswt-gtk-3-java, libgtk2.0, libgtk2.0-dev, libswt-gtk-java-2, libgtk-3-dev, libgtk-3 and libswt-gtk-4-java.
Bellow is detailed error message in terminal using flag -Dprism.verbose=true.

What's (probably) going wrong
To build executable jar,i use Eclipse export project, runnable jar, package required libraries into jar
Don't use the "package required libraries into jar" to package JavaFX applications. I am not an Eclipse user, but that sounded like a weird option (standard Java packaging does not include library jar files inside your application jar files). So I googled what that option is and came up with this:
Difference between extracting and packaging libraries into a jar file
It seems that the option actually does place libraries inside your application jar and creates some kind of custom class loading system in order to use them.
My guess is that you might have added the jfxrt.jar file as a library file in Eclipse and then it is exported and added to your application jar file by the "package required libraries into jar" option. However jfxrt.jar is not a stand-alone thing, it is not designed to be used outside the directory of the java runtime installation. jfxrt.jar requires binary files (e.g. .so files on unix or .dll files on windows) that interface to the graphics system of the OS in order for JavaFX to function correctly. So you really should not be trying to extract it and use it outside of a JRE installation or a self-contained application.
Solution
What you should do instead is to package your application using any of:
e(fx)clipse packaging.
javafx maven packaging.
javafx ant packaging or the javapackager tool.
