maven plugin dependency scope in pom.xml - java

I use maven to package my web application, but I found that a lot of maven jars are in my war's lib directory. I do not think they are useful for my web application under tomcat, so how can I exclude them?

Simply answer. Never use maven plugins as dependencies cause they do not belong to dependencies. That's the reason why got those strange artifacts in your build.

You should update the scope section for the dependencies ,which you want to exclude in the war file.

provided scope indicates the dependency will be present during compilation,but will not be included in war file.

cannot access jakart.servlet.filter in java maven project

Getting the error cannot access jakarta.servlet.Filter when running mvn clean install and getting
class file for jakarta.servlet.Filter not found when trying to run. This seems to have started after moving from javax to jakarta, including updating my classes to use the jakarta namespace instead of the javax namespace, EXCEPT for in the case of javax.servlet, which can't be replaced with jakarta.servlet in any class because it's not found. I assume this is because mvn clean install never finishes due to the error?

Mapstruct not generating mapper class in springboot

I'm trying to put together a project that uses mapstruck, but I'm having some trouble s that the class implementing the SourceToTargetMapper interface is not being generated.
Mapper:

When I build the programm there's no error, but the classes aren't being generated.

When using Maven and the annotationProcessorPaths you need to make sure that the version of the maven-compiler-plugin is at least 3.5.1 or newer. If you are using the Spring Boot as a parent in your parent then it should work, otherwise it is not OK.

You should use the spring componentModel in mapper class #Mapper(componentModel = "spring") and the expected dependency configuration of annotation processors which is described on the mapstruct site dependency config

Java class files are not generated in war file

I am trying to deploy project in tomcat.
After deploying my war file,it doesn't work.While clicking link shows 404 error.
webapps--> project-->WEB-INF-->classes-->only files from src/main/resources were generated.
Class files from src/main/java were not generated in war file.I think,it is not compiling the subpackages in src/main/java.I have all java class files in subpackages.
Please help me,if anyone knows.

Build project does not include all the classes

I build my project with:
mvn clean package
when I try to run it i get the following error:
[TestNG] [ERROR] Cannot find class in classpath: eu.copla.test.sanity.communications.ctm.ESH2320_CTM_Limitation
I unziped the .jar file and the classes were not there that's why the ERROR, so I have to include them, as far as I know is a pom.xml issue I tried to include them in the pom.xml in this way:

Integration testing with Jetty and Spring

I use Spring, Hibernate and org.mortbay.jetty jetty-maven-plugin for integration tests. After integration tests running, I have exception. I apply mvn verify. Integration tests run fine. Part of stack trace here:

Simply answer. Never use maven plugins as dependencies cause they do not belong to dependencies. That's the reason why got those strange artifacts in your build.
